Fast Food

I have come to the realization that there is nothing worse that fast food. This crap is just unacceptable. From burgers that don't even taste like a burger should let alone have the correct appearance. Now...I'm not saying that I won't eat it, because it is simply convenient it attracts the best of us. I'd of course prefer a bold Cabernet with a nice filet, or a Pinot Noir with some pasta, but these luxuries always come with a cost. I'm reminded of the movie Sideways, where the main character finally uncorks his matured wine and decides to eat fast food and drink it out of a paper cup, what a poor sap. Hope all is well, keep reading...

He Just not that into you . . .

So Courtney and I went to a movie this early evening at 4pm, and it was surprisingly busy. A theatre filled with a wide range of women, gay men, and well . . . me. The movie was pretty good though, and there were some funny parts that I really did enjoy. With old ladies chatting to each other reminding me of "shoot 'em in the toodles,." and people smacking their popcorn like it was their last meal.

I never liked the end of movie walk-out. You have to be courteous and let people go ahead of you and make small steps staring at the floor making sure you don't trip and fall like a fool. Maybe I like to watch the credits maybe I want to sit till everyone is gone....just maybe...

A mean pesto

There was garlic in the air mozzarella sliced and pasta being boiled al dente(spelling)? A few beer, some pasta, top chef, and mizzou basketball, now there is a dinner fit for a king. If only I had a scotch and a nice cigar things would be perfect. I hope all is well for everyone, I wish nothing but the greatest achievements and utmost success and happiness to all of you. If anyone ever needs anything I hope you all know that I would give you the shirt off my back and even a bite if my Picklemans Italian sub, or even a mozz stick from whities if you needed me to.

Back to basics

Over the past few years I have spread through many topics and only one falls superior. Yes that's right FOOD! I enjoyed a salami and colbyjack sandwich on white bread for lunch. Now listen up... I've always been a wheat bread guy and have in now way abandoned my wheat consuption and heritage I simple could not find the bread section in the grocery store. White is for panzys. I'm starving now, well not starving but I would like to eat, might cook up some zucinii and onions, maybe some leftovers or pasta. Either way it will be a feast. Remember never stop eating...

Happy New Year

Well I hope everyone made it through New Years in one piece. Courtney and I decided to go see a movie and have dinner with each other on New Year's Eve. We went to see Twilight at the Chesterfield Mall Theater, it was pretty good. Definitely not what I expected from a vampire film, but I really enjoyed it. I'm not sure if it was the bottle of champagne that we split while watching or what, but I was pleasantly surprised. We went on the a restaurant in the Central West End called Scape. I had a big plate of spaghetti and a softball size meatball on top, it was fantastic. Court had some dish that had a fancy name for ravioli. We sat down and after we ordered a waiter came over and set a plate down and said, "Compliments of the Chef," and left. It was some nuts and greens covered in a coconut cotton candy, It was the weirdest and most delicious surprise I'd ever tried in my life, I was quite impressed. The service was stupendous and we will return most definitely. Hope the rest of you had a good start to the new year...

p.s. i'll post the pic of this gigantic meatball in due time...
