Sidney Street Cafe

So we made a treck down 44 to jefferson to sidney street to eat at the Sidney Street Cafe. We were in for a real treat. This place was absolutely fantastic, priced a little on the high end, but the ambience and great service really pushes it over the edge. I had a filet with a bernaise sauce and lagostino lobster that was to die for. Court had some roasted chicken which practically fell off the bone with tobacco style onions and spinach. We were both delighted as we sat across from each other with a tall candle lit onthe table. Although they were out of the wine we wanted, we found a quite suitable substitute. We will return to this place, and I would suggest it of maybe a special occasion or with a group of friends.

Double D Lounge

If you're up for a night of off pitch speech sluring hooligans, then the Double D has your name all over it. With a super mix of the younger crowd to families to a few older singer wannabe's, the Double D welcome's all. In all seriousness the greatness doesn't begin until about 11pm, but make sure you arrive early enough to plop youself down at a table. You're gonna want a good view of the stage where karaoke is being belted out continuously. The song choice is key, if you can get the crowd to sing along with you you won't sound as awful as you really are. Will a total bill of 40 bucks for two people and about 10 beers and 5 jello shots, thats not too bad. They called last call at 1am, and were still singing until 1:29am when everyone was asked to leave.

Bottom line its a fun place to be on a Saturday night to relax get a good laugh, or prove that you are the next American Idol. I would highly suggest this place. A great little dive bar karaoke good time in brentwood, right next theh frank papa's.

Candy Dispensers

the candy machines in waiting rooms, or in the grocery store walkin' area. That always seems very unsanitary to me, i mean they just pour in the loose m&m's and jelly beans. People stick there fingers up that shoot and touch everything...gross. thats the last place i wanna get a handful of m&m's. also, i hate the dial where you stick in the quarter and spin it around, its so annoying because you can't get a full spin without hurting you wrist, you end up using both hands at the same time, and spill the candy on the floor as a result. man o man. y do people think this is such a good idea. i sure don't!

Sportsman's Park Bar & Grill

So Courtney and I have been frequenting Sportsman's Park Bar & Grill in Ladue. Its a hole in the wall kind of joint, with great burgers, supreme appetizers, and superior wraps. With the prices starting at 8 bucks for a burger and fries you really can't beat it. I would recommend the Sports Burger for anyone who wants a nice filling meal. The spinach atichoke dip is spectacular, and could actually be eaten with a few beers and be quite satisfying. Make sure you go at off hours or you'll be waiting a bit. If there is a wait there is always Lester's across the street that seats more people. Anyways I suggest this place for a weeknight dinner, or a sporting event because of there tv in plain sight. I wouldn't suggest a large group of people but 3 or 4 people it would be a cool little spot.

Signals

Knowing your traffic lights are very important when navigating the streets where you live. You must know the cycle in which the lights will change. In turn you then you know when to dive into a side street and avoid the reds. You know when someone is lined up next to you and they keep inching up because they are trying to anticipate the light, and then the left turn arrow goes and they inch up more. Man you just can't help but laugh because you know the lights and it doesn't turn green until after the arrow, fools. So as a result you end up beating them off the line and they have to tuck behind you when their lane ends. Anyways know your street lights it pays off well.

Shower/Bath

Does anyone take baths anymore? I don't think so. Who wants to bask in there own filth. How does one get clean in a bath, because you are washing yourself with dirty water. Absolutley rediculous. I like to take showers so that I actually get clean. And the fact that you add bubbles to the bath doesn't make it any better. The only thing that does is that it ensures that you don't see yourself in the water. I could see a general jacuzzi tub to help aches and pains but not for cleaning up. I would rather shower in an outdoor shower than take a stupid bath.

Revisiting Milk blogs...

After a long concerned discussion with Bradley Michael Merten about Milk and where it comes from and about drinking it. I am on a mission to say "NO" to milk. I think the idea of milk is disgusting. It is bodily juices from a cow....SICK. Why would anyone drink this stuff. Why have I been drinking it. I am on day 2 of my boycott of milk....i will update frequently on how the fight is coming along. I have made a bet with brad that i could stop drinking milk for the entire summer $100.00. Bring it Merten!!!

Day 34... still no milk... i enjoyed a piece of Goooey Butter cake...and when feeling extremely thirsty, i thought of my old friend Mr. Milk Jug. But i withheld the temptation. I had a glass of water instead...it didn't do the job, but i can't give in. At this point...thirty four days in and still going strong, i don't believe i will faulter. I have brought in re-enforcements such as: Sunny D, Gatorade Fruit Punch, and Crystal Light. I am very happy, and i have had many different cheeses to replace my calcium deficiency. From American, Swiss, Munster, Monteray Jack, to Provelone its all helping the situation. Nothing can stop me now. Mr. Merten is in for some monetary hurtin'. Respect
