Military

Let me start by saying if you serve in the military, this is by no a zing on you or our country.

I simply hate when people are introduced to someone who is in uniform for the military. It always starts with the person saying, "Thank you! Thank you! I really appreciate all that you do. Thank you so much." blah blah blah. I certaintly appreciate anyone who has the balls to serve in the military and take the abuse and harshing living conditions, but in no way am I going to make them unconfortable by thanking them a thousand times. They are a person just like everyone else. I'm not treating anyone like royalty because they are in the army or marines, navy or air force. I absolutly hateeeee this. Maybe if someone took an interest in what that person actually did while serving or where they are stationed that would be alright. But simply thanking someone to death shows, in my opinion, well i'd rather not say. I don't want to offend anyone, but i just don't like it... that is all

Frank Papa's

Court and I went to Frank Papa's on Saturday and it was quite sub par. It needs a major face lift on the inside, its got a high class feel but at the same time dingy feel. It didn't make me feel like I should be spending good money for this food or atmosphere. I will still give it another try. I always have a tough time choosing a pasta or entree at a restaurant that I've never been too. I ended up with a fettucini alfredo, which I never enjoy when I order it. Either I've never had a great alfredo or I just don't enjoy it at all. The bread I must say was enjoyable, can't beat bread and butter. That leads me to the best butter ever served in a restaurant. I don't know what the brand is, but its in the gold packet its super soft, i could eat that stuff like in a big ice cream scooper full....yum. I need a standard meal that I can rely on, and I don't think that I have that anywhere I go. Speaking of ice cream I think I'll make my first trip to ted drew's this weekend. Stay tuned for my review on whether its all that or old hat.

Work

I'm coming up on my 1 year anniversary at Enterprise. It seems just like yesterday, that I was slinging crab legs at Red Lobster, and tossing cheddar buscuits to geezers. From CHARGERS to PT Cruisers, no one is ever satisfied. Taking in hundred of dollars in drug money and handing back expired and non-driver's licences, there is never a dull moment. People think its unreasonable to ask for a credit car when renting a car. I have to explain to them that I am giving them a $20,000 car and have to have some sort of good phone number and payment. Draining!
