Courtney and I dined last night at Oceano Bistro. Service was great, everyone greeted us as we can through the door to the table. We had two managers check in on us through the meal, and they were much appreciated. The atmosphere was pretty quiet for a Friday night, I thought, but who likes to have a nice dinner in a loud spot. We sat near the window and not in the main dinning room which we preferred anyways. We started with a couple drinks, Court had a nice glass of Zinfandel and I had a glass of Glenlivet 16 year old scotch. We decided to try the Crab Cakes for an appetizer and that decision was a good one. I think I could eat crab cakes once a week I like them so much. We then enjoyed a couple pieces of bread with their kalamata olive oil with red pepper dipping sauce, fantastic. It was so good I decided to drip some one my shirt to save for later. We then awaited our main course. Court got some Chicken with a garlic mashed potato puree, could have used a little more garlic, but we love garlic. I got the Scallops with a truffle sauce and grilled portobello, one word delicious. I though scallops might be a little iffy and that it wouldn't fill me up, but I was quite satisfied, almost didn't finish. We opted out of dessert. The prices weren't too bad, the drinks themselves cast 20 bucks so if we didn't get a drink it would have been 50-60 bucks Good thing we had a nice gift card from Nelson and Megan for our engagement. I will return again, Courtney might not, just because of the lack of non-seafood options. I would go back for a drink and an appetizer for a late bite.
Eat Well
Much Love
